A 6-month Somatic Writing Journey with Amy Jones
Dive deep into the underbelly of your writing.
Through movement, meditation, breathwork, sound and song, your writing journey will visit the places that have long been forgotten in your body and soul.
These are the stories to be told.
We begin with an opening retreat near the sea in Kennebunk, Maine. We will gather, write, and ritual together, visiting the places that have long been forgotten in Body, Spirit and Heart.
After our in-person retreat, our journey continues with five monthly online weekend retreats (December-April) and periodic group check-ins.
At our in-person retreat we will create our Sacred Texts, a book to carry all of the writing we do for the following five months. These books can be passed on for generations to come, to share the wisdom of the stories we have told.
Come journey and explore the depths of your writer’s untapped tales. The stories that are hidden at the bottom of a well, found in the attic of the corners of your mind, or perhaps even in a cave of ancient time~ a memory that still sits in your bones.
Imagine… Create… Liberate…
When we share our stories we open the gateways that lead to healing. We write our stories to weave a universal tale that may be passed on for generations to come.
This will be deep work. Your stories are sacred and so are you. Be prepared to change the way you approach your writing and your muse.

About Amy
Amy Jones is a healer and weaver of story and ritual.
At Yogic Writing, she leads retreats and women’s writing groups with Rebecca Gold. She is passionate about offering somatic practices to women, and shares her gifts as an Akashic reader, Polarity therapist, Reiki practitioner and Yin Yoga teacher.
She is the creator of the podcast Rituals Of Our Mothers, dedicated to exploring and healing the daughter/mother relationship.
Amy is the author of The Blue Oracle and The Cave of Woes, a love story depicting the depths of human struggle and victory told through the melodies of poetry.

Retreats are made even better when the place you are retreating gives you as much pleasure as the retreat itself. With its expansive size and beautiful decor, the 219 House is welcoming us and is sure to deliver an enriching experience for our opening retreat.
It is about a mile walk from beautiful Kennebunk beaches, and just a quick ride away from Kennebunk’s historic seafaring town and a multitude of area attractions.
The 219 House is a 5,400 square ft. home built in 1927 began as a smaller version of its now expansive size. It has 8 beautiful, spacious bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, wrap-around porch, game room, wireless internet, cable, air conditioning units in many rooms, and so much more. The 219 House is just a short walk to Mothers Beach and a quick drive into historic Kennebunkport for plenty of dining, shopping, sightseeing & fun.
